Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

The Grover’s Song of Monsters Giveaway is a chance-based sweepstakes. One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received.

By entering, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.

1. Sponsor

The Grover’s Song of Monsters Giveaway—the “Sweepstakes”—is sponsored and administered by:

The “Sponsor” means Noah Naiman.

Instagram and Meta are not sponsors or administrators of this Sweepstakes.

2. Eligibility

The Sweepstakes is open only to natural persons who, at the time of entry:

  • Are legal residents of one of the fifty United States or Washington, D.C.;

  • Are at least eighteen years old and have reached the legal age of majority in their state of residence; and

  • Comply fully with these Official Rules.

The Sponsor, members of the Sponsor’s immediate family, people living in the Sponsor’s household, and anyone directly involved in creating, administering, promoting, or fulfilling the Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter.

For purposes of these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes a spouse, domestic partner, parent, child, sibling, step-parent, step-child, step-sibling, grandparent, and grandchild.

The Sweepstakes is void outside the fifty United States and Washington, D.C., and wherever prohibited or restricted by law.

3. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins at:

6:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time on August 3, 2026

and ends at:

12:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time on August 10, 2026

This period is referred to as the “Entry Period.”

All entries must be received during the Entry Period. Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible.

The Sponsor’s computer, website records, and Instagram timestamps, as applicable, will serve as the official timekeeping devices for the Sweepstakes.

4. How to Enter

There are two free methods of entry. No purchase is required for either method.

Each person may receive a maximum of:

  • One standard entry; and

  • One bonus entry.

The maximum is two entries per person, regardless of the number of methods, comments, accounts, forms, or devices used.

Method One: Instagram Entry

During the Entry Period:

  1. Follow @noahnaimanbooks on Instagram; and

  2. Comment on the designated Grover’s Song of Monsters Giveaway Reel with the title of your favorite fantasy book.

Completing both steps earns one standard entry.

The Instagram account used to enter must be a valid account belonging to the entrant. The comment must remain visible until the potential winner has been verified. The Sponsor may verify that a potential winner followed @noahnaimanbooks as required before confirming the winner.

Optional Instagram Bonus Entry

For one bonus entry, mention one genuine fantasy-reading friend’s Instagram account in your giveaway comment or in one additional comment on the designated giveaway Reel.

The mentioned person:

  • Does not have to enter the Sweepstakes;

  • Does not have to follow the Sponsor;

  • Must be a genuine Instagram account belonging to another person; and

  • Should be someone the entrant reasonably believes may be interested in fantasy books.

Do not mention celebrities, brands, automated accounts, giveaway-only accounts, unrelated strangers, or the entrant’s own alternate account.

Mentioning additional accounts or posting additional comments will not produce additional entries.

Method Two: Alternative Free Website Entry

An Instagram account, Instagram follow, comment, or friend mention is not required when using this method.

During the Entry Period, complete the Contact Form found at nnbooks.com/contact.

The form must include:

  • Your full legal name;

  • Your email address;

  • Your city and state of residence;

  • Confirmation that you meet the age and residency requirements;

  • The title of your favorite fantasy book; and

  • Your agreement to these Official Rules.

A complete and eligible form submission earns one standard entry.

Optional Website Bonus Entry

To receive one bonus entry through the website method, complete the optional bonus question on the Alternative Free Entry Form:

A complete answer earns one bonus entry.

Only one form submission is permitted per person. Submitting multiple forms, using multiple email addresses, or entering through both Instagram and the website will not allow an entrant to exceed the two-entry maximum.

5. Entry Requirements and Restrictions

Entries must be submitted by the entrant personally. Automated, scripted, robotic, bulk, AI-generated, commercially produced, or third-party entry services are prohibited.

Entrants may not:

  • Enter through multiple Instagram accounts or identities;

  • Submit materially false eligibility or contact information;

  • Attempt to obtain more than two entries;

  • Interfere with the operation of the Sweepstakes;

  • Harass the Sponsor, other entrants, or anyone mentioned in connection with the Sweepstakes;

  • Impersonate another person;

  • Use bots, macros, scripts, or automated systems; or

  • Violate these Official Rules, Instagram’s terms, or applicable law.

Comments or entries containing unlawful, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate material may be disqualified.

The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any person or entry that the Sponsor reasonably believes violates these Official Rules, compromises the integrity of the Sweepstakes, or attempts to gain an unfair advantage.

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the entry will be deemed submitted by the natural person who controls the applicable Instagram account or email address, subject to the Sponsor’s right to request proof.

6. Consumer Disclosure

One winner will receive one prize package containing:

  • One signed paperback copy of Song of Monsters by Noah Naiman;

  • One Song of Monsters bookmark;

  • One set of assorted Song of Monsters stickers; and

  • One small plastic pig.

The approximate retail value of the complete prize package is:

$25.00

The autograph has no separate retail value.

Standard shipping to the winner’s eligible United States mailing address is included.

7. Odds of Winning

One prize will be awarded.

The odds of winning are:

One out of the total number of eligible entries received.

The exact odds therefore depend on the total number of eligible standard and bonus entries received during the Entry Period.

A purchase, book order, newsletter subscription, event attendance, or previous interaction with the Sponsor will not improve any entrant’s odds of winning.

8. Prize Conditions

The prize is nontransferable and may not be redeemed for cash.

No prize substitution is permitted at the winner’s request. If a listed prize component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, the Sponsor may substitute an item of equal or greater approximate retail value.

Any difference between the stated approximate retail value and the prize’s actual value will not be awarded.

The prize will be awarded “as is,” without any warranty or guarantee beyond any applicable manufacturer warranty.

The winner is responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes or other expenses associated with receiving or using the prize that are not expressly stated as being paid by the Sponsor.

The Sponsor will pay the cost of ordinary shipping to one valid mailing address in the fifty United States or Washington, D.C. The Sponsor is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, an incorrect address supplied by the winner, an undeliverable address, or circumstances outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

9. Winner Selection

On or about August 10, 2026, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period.

Each eligible standard and bonus entry will be assigned an equal chance of selection.

The random drawing may be conducted using a random-number generator or another impartial random-selection method chosen by the Sponsor.

The person selected is only a potential winner until their eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules have been verified.

10. Winner Notification and Verification

An Instagram entrant selected as the potential winner will be contacted by direct message from:

@noahnaimanbooks

The Sponsor may also reply publicly to the potential winner’s entry comment and instruct them to check their direct messages.

A website entrant selected as the potential winner will be contacted using the email address supplied on the Alternative Free Entry Form.

The potential winner must respond within forty-eight hours of the first notification attempt.

The potential winner may be required to provide:

  • Their full legal name;

  • Confirmation of age;

  • Confirmation of state of residence;

  • A valid United States shipping address;

  • Confirmation that they complied with the applicable entry requirements; and

  • Any other information reasonably necessary to verify eligibility and deliver the prize.

The Sponsor will contact the potential winner only through @noahnaimanbooks or noah@nnbooks.com.

The Sponsor will never request payment, credit-card information, bank information, passwords, login credentials, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or any fee in connection with winning or receiving the prize.

If the potential winner:

  • Cannot be contacted;

  • Does not respond within forty-eight hours;

  • Is ineligible;

  • Cannot provide the required verification;

  • Declines the prize;

  • Violates these Official Rules; or

  • Cannot receive the prize at an eligible United States address,

the potential winner will be disqualified and the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner at random from the remaining eligible entries.

This process may continue until an eligible winner is confirmed.

11. Prize Delivery

The Sponsor expects to ship the prize within thirty days after the winner has been verified and has provided a valid shipping address.

The winner should allow additional time for delivery.

The Sponsor may provide the winner with shipping or tracking information when reasonably available.

12. Public Announcement

After the winner has been verified, the Sponsor may announce the winner’s:

  • First name;

  • Last initial; and

  • Instagram username, when applicable and with the winner’s consent.

The Sponsor will not publicly disclose the winner’s street address, email address, telephone number, or other sensitive personal information.

13. Privacy

Information submitted through the Alternative Free Entry Form or during winner verification will be used only to:

  • Administer the Sweepstakes;

  • Verify eligibility;

  • Contact the potential winner;

  • Deliver the prize;

  • Prevent fraud or duplicate entries; and

  • Meet applicable legal or record-keeping obligations.

Submitting an entry will not subscribe the entrant to the Sponsor’s newsletter or other marketing messages.

Entrants will be added to a mailing list only when they separately and affirmatively request to subscribe.

The Sponsor will not sell personal information collected for this Sweepstakes.

Instagram comments, usernames, and other information posted publicly on Instagram remain subject to Instagram’s privacy practices and the entrant’s own account settings.

14. General Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to cancel, suspend, postpone, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, tampering, unauthorized intervention, platform outage, natural disaster, government action, or another cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity, security, fairness, or proper operation of the Sweepstakes.

If the Sweepstakes is cancelled or terminated before the stated end of the Entry Period, the Sponsor may award the prize through a random drawing from the eligible entries received before the event that caused the cancellation, when doing so is fair, lawful, and reasonably practicable.

The Sponsor reserves the right to correct typographical, clerical, or technical errors, provided that no correction will materially reduce an entrant’s rights or unfairly change the odds of winning.

The Sponsor’s reasonable decisions regarding eligibility, rule interpretation, entry validity, winner selection, and administration are final and binding.

Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If promotional material, an Instagram caption, a Story, a video, or another communication conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules control.

15. Technical Problems

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Sponsor is not responsible for:

  • Lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, corrupted, deleted, hidden, misdirected, or undeliverable entries;

  • Comments removed by Instagram or by an entrant;

  • An entrant’s privacy settings;

  • Direct messages filtered, blocked, or not delivered;

  • Internet, mobile-device, website, email, or Instagram outages;

  • Malfunctioning hardware, software, applications, networks, or communications systems;

  • Mistakes made by an entrant when submitting contact information;

  • Unauthorized human intervention;

  • Failed form submissions;

  • Duplicate or fraudulent entries; or

  • Events outside the Sponsor’s reasonable control.

Entrants are responsible for confirming that their entries were properly submitted and for checking their Instagram messages or email following the drawing.

16. Release and Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., and their respective affiliates, representatives, agents, contractors, service providers, successors, and assigns from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, injuries, or causes of action arising out of or relating to:

  • Participation in the Sweepstakes;

  • Acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or delivery of the prize;

  • Technical or administrative errors;

  • An entrant’s violation of these Official Rules;

  • An entrant’s violation of another person’s rights; or

  • The use of Instagram or another third-party platform.

Nothing in these Official Rules excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Official Rules and the Sweepstakes are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Except where prohibited by applicable law, any legal action arising from the Sweepstakes must be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction over Denver County, Colorado.

Entrants retain any nonwaivable rights provided by the laws of their state of residence.

18. Instagram and Meta Disclaimer

This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.

By entering, each entrant completely releases Instagram and Meta Platforms, Inc. from responsibility or liability arising from or relating to this Sweepstakes, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram or Meta.

Any questions, comments, complaints, or claims regarding the Sweepstakes must be directed to the Sponsor and not to Instagram or Meta.

19. Winner Information

After the winner has been verified, a request for the winner’s first name, last initial, and state of residence may be submitted by email to:
